Suitable for all dogs who have completed Clever Dogs (Fundamental Obedience).
Info
Brilliant Dogs (Intermediate Obedience) is the follow up course for Clever Dogs (Fundamental Obedience). This is great for those owners and dogs who want to do a little more with their dog and achieve greater heights.
What and Why?
This is a great course to further you and your dogs training, we work to improve not only your dog’s obedience but also his/her social behaviour and lead manners.
We offer an add on of 2 weeks to receive your canine good citizen in bronze and silver.
What You Will Learn
In Brilliant Dogs we introduce distance control, retrieving, teaching our dogs right and left, we also work on longer focus, stay and formal heel work.
Add on for CGC
Our regular brilliant dog course is a six-week course, the add on allows you to do a further 2 weeks with us to also test for Canine Good Citizen. The extra two weeks is not compulsory and comes with an extra fee for the preparation week and the final KUSA test.
What is Canine Good Citizen (CGC)?
This is a program and grading system set up by KUSA where a dog and owner need to be able to perform certain task in order to be rewarded a canine good citizen brag title.
CGC has three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Although not as strict as obedience it is still fundamental thing that all dogs need to be able to do, and this is why we combined the CGC exercises into our obedience classes and give owner and dog the opportunity to have great obedience skills but also life and everyday skills.
In order to enroll for CGC you must complete Clever Dogs (Fundamental Obedience) first. Thereafter bronze and silver CGC will go hand in hand with the 8-week course in Brilliant Dogs (Intermediate Obedience). And CGC gold will then go hand in hand with the 8-week Genius Dogs (Advanced Obedience) course.
